Imagine being surrounded by colors.  Thousands of fluttering, flying, gentle and delicate butterflies of color—deep blue, vibrant orange, delicate pinks and yellows.

This is what every visitor to one of our live butterfly exhibits experiences.  We fill our netted houses with over 5,000 tropical, neo-tropical and temperate butterflies.  We have different species from 15 countries around the world; every color and shape imaginable.

People laugh and cry when they are surrounded by these fragile examples of living beauty.  And visitors gaze in wonderment at our butterfly nursery where everyday hundreds of butterflies emerge from a chrysalis to fly for the first time. Providing this experience to people has been our passion for the past 10 years.

But there is more to the story of butterflies…and we wanted you to hear it.   For many species, there are dangers and threats to their habitat, to their migration and ultimately to their survival.  But thankfully, there are also tremendously positive stories of conservation and protection.
